Christmas Decorations made Easy

PicMonkey Collage 2

Each Year I get to fill my living rooms with Christmas decorations for my Christmas cooking Classes.

I am so lucky to have two mantles and now just fill them with my collection of baubles and candles collected over many years.

I made Christmas Wreaths by attaching small  cones onto a Styrofoam ring with a glue gun, filling the spaces with lichen and little coloured balls … Cheap, fun and they look amazing forever.

Its so much easier to gather all your decorations together in colours and ” drip’ them.

Happy Christmas

It was worth planting Broad Beans in April

IMG_6645

Before departing on my tour to Turkey in May this year we remembered to plant a good thick row of broad beans.

They were a joy to watch during the winter as they tentatively poked their lovely compact leaves through the ground to growing metres tall in the Spring.

Unbelievably they are still upright or indeed have matured after a pretty shocking November. However, we are picking baby pods full of sweet lime green beans.

How simple can it get – New Season local Outram Jersey Benny Potatoes, Broad beans and Spinach from the garden, drizzled with Dommaine Rewa  Central Otago Extra Virgin Olive oil  with Philips favourite Cardronna Merino Lamb Sausages and .. a glass of red wine.
